Begonia Maculata Silverspot
The Begonia Maculata Silverspot also known as a Polkadot Begonia is a truly awe-inspiring houseplant and rare to come by.
Is is an upright cane type of begonia with striking leaves feature distinctive silver spots on the top that make the plant immediately recognisable. Overleaf you’ll find a striking deep red colour, rumour has it this plant influenced shoe designer Christian Louboutin to create his famous red-soled stilettos.
Care Instruction:
Light: Can handle a little shade but prefers bright, indirect sunlight.
Water: Keep the soil damp, water a few times each week during Summer and less during the colder months. Be sure to let the soil dry out before watering or its leaves may become soggy. If you're under watering the Polka Dot plant, you'll notice its leaves will begin to brown.
Toxic: Mildly Toxic if digested.
Temperature: 18-30°C
Humidity: Thrives in a warmer humid environments ideal for bathrooms in bright, indirect sunlight. However, they will do well in a living room if you give them occasional misting and regular watering.
