The Barns at Redcoats, Hitchin
Enchanting Grade II listed barns nestled in the gardens of Redcoats Farm, nestled in the idyllic countryside on the outskirts of Hitchin. Fall in love with the oak wood beams, enjoy Farm-to Fork culinary experience and attentive service to wow you and your wedding guests. The Barns at Redcoats can caterer for covid secure micro weddings of 15 people or larger parties of up to 140 guests, which gives you so much flexibility to make your wedding day the size you want.
I adored working with the happy couple on this recent late Summer wedding at The Barns at Redcoats. The barn was perfect for this stunning bespoke floral installation – using a mix of lush foliage, hanging florals, dried wheat and seasonal blooms in shades of soft coral, peach, yellow and whites .... soooo dreamy! Statement flower pieces like this look fab in venues such as barns with high ceilings making the space feel more intimate, adding depth with colour and texture.
Offley Place, Great Offley
A luxury 17th century manor house set in the village of Great Offley, Offley Place is an amazing setting to say ‘I Do’. I love weddings at this local venue – it has a stunning conservatory for ceremonies, grand ballroom with large windows overlooking the grounds and snug spaces with log burning fires, all that look incredible full with beautiful blooms.
Here is peek at floral table decorations I created for a wedding at Offley Place a couple of years ago, with a rustic theme these dainty jam jars with country garden style flowers fitted perfectly. As part of Town Garden Wedding Service, I work with each couple to understand their individual style and flower ideas for the big day – every wedding is so unique and you deserve the personal touch from your wedding florist.
South Farm, Royston
A real gem of a wedding venue, exclusive use South Farm is ideally located at Royston in Cambridgeshire and just 20 miles from Hitchin. With several magical ceremony spaces to choose from – it's hard to choose the pretty summer house, Tudor Barn or grand Drawing Room with roaring fire.
I had a great time creating these bespoke flowers for a wedding back in January 2020 at South Farm. Crisp white and hint of blush pink roses, romantic white anemones and silvery eucalyptus looked fabulous on a cold winter’s day wedding. Beautiful bride Natasha sent this lovely feedback “Thank you so much for all the wonderful wedding arrangements and bouquets. It was perfect and we had a wonderful wedding day." Love love love a happy bride!
Knebworth House, Stevange
A short 15 minute drive from my flower shop in Hitchin is the stunning Knebworth House, just off the A1 at Stevange. A historic house set in 250 acres of parkland gives you so many options to suit your wedding style; elegant wedding breakfasts in the Main House, quirky celebrations in the vintage barns or festival vibes in the lush gardens.
We are so lucky to be surrounded by gorgeous wedding venues on our doorstep in Hertfordshire. I feel so privileged to have been involved with weddings at so many over the years, and it gives me valuable insider knowledge of the venue layout and spaces so I can give helpful tips to my couples planning their wedding flowers - such as suggesting where a floral arch would work perfectly for wedding photos, flowers and colour palettes that suit your theme or suggesting table centres which compliment the room.
Sheene Mill, Royston
Just over the border to neighbouring county Cambridgeshire, you will find nestled on the River Mel the breath-taking Sheene Mill. The 400 year old flour mill as been beautifully restored, and has an incredible outdoor pavilion suspended over the river which is ideal for saying 'I Do'. Their award-winning team will ensure you have a memorable wedding day!
I love styling wedding flowers at Sheene Mill, especially the pavillion which is so enchanting and magical. For one of the weddings held there, I used green foliage and large creamy white hydrangeas to create a stylish and elegant feel. Just imagine walking down the aisle and saying your wedding vows in this setting - simply gorgeous!
Sun Hotel, Hitchin
A super local wedding venue just a stones throw away from Town Garden - you will find the Sun Hotel opposite our flower shop on Sun Street in the heart of Hitchin. The 16th century coaching Inn has always been a big part of Hitchin’s history, and makes a really lovely venue to have your wedding party.
Here is a throwback to a wedding at the Sun Hotel back in 2019. The bride and groom approached me as the local florist to craft their bespoke wedding flowers, and were a real pleasure to work with. The colour palette was pink, and they left the flower choice up to me so I could source really seasonal blooms that were perfect for a Summer wedding day. Look how gorgeous their bridesmaids bouquets turned out – soft pink peonies, fluffy roses, pink astilbe and feathery greens for a romantic bouquet.
